LAURELS: Legislation College Dean Wins Nationwide Award for Efforts in Range, Mentoring

The Association of American Law Colleges introduced its range of UC Davis Dean Kevin R. Johnson as the recipient of a new countrywide award for “outstanding leadership in range and mentoring in the legal academy,” offered jointly by 5 sections of the association.

Johnson, legislation school dean considering that 2008, stated he was “especially touched” by the award since its namesake, Michael A. Olivas, “was a mate, colleague and an significant mentor to me.”

Olivas died in April of this year right after what the association described as an illustrious vocation, most just lately as the William B. Bates Distinguished Chair in Regulation Emeritus at the College of Houston Law Heart and as the director of the University of Houston’s Institute for Better Schooling Regulation and Governance.
