Verra has introduced a public session to seek suggestions on proposed minor revisions to VMR0006 Methodology for Set up of Superior Effectiveness Firewood Cookstoves, v1.1.
VMR0006 is a revision to CDM methodology AMS-II.G., Energy performance measures in thermal applications of non-renewable biomass. VMR0006 applies to tasks that deploy improved thermal power technology equipment, together with cookstoves, ovens, and dryers.
The proposed small revisions to VMR0006 include the subsequent:
- Editorial advancements, including a reference to the most up-to-date edition of AMS-II.G.
- Updates to the next default values:
- baseline machine efficiency
- ordinary yearly intake of woody biomass
- wooden-to-charcoal conversion factor
- non-CO2 emission variable for wood fuel
- A new strategy for the determination of undertaking stove efficiencies and
- Incorporation of the Errata and Clarifications posted by Verra in Oct 2022.
Verra initiated a evaluation of VMR0006 brought on by a well-established concern relating to a misalignment involving VMR0006 and the hottest edition of the referenced CDM methodology (AMS-II.G.).
