The Business of the Dean of Legislation extends congratulations to Professor Karen Busby, who was regarded by the Manitoba Bar Association as the 2022 receiver of the Isabel Ross (MacLean) Hunt Award for her contributions as an great purpose model for ladies lawyers in Manitoba. Isabel Ross (MacLean) Hunt (1894 – 1990) was the initially woman to earn a Bachelor of Rules (LL.B.) diploma from the College of Manitoba. She graduated in 1916, was named to the bar in 1917, and was the to start with female in Western Canada to create a regulation place of work in 1918.
