On Feb. 22, be part of us for Pink Shirt Working day – when UVic learners, workers and faculty don pink to stand towards bullying and harassment. 

Bullying is a pervasive issue in Canada and our campus is no exception. As a group, we can exhibit each individual other we treatment by wearing pink on Feb. 22. It is a modest and meaningful gesture that demonstrates absolutely everyone at UVic that we stand for kindness.

Phase In, Speak Up

Anti-oppression instruction
UVic’s anti-oppression training program is open to all employees and pupils. The education is titled Kil KaahlGaalangdal – “Hear Someone’s Voice Ahead of You See Them”: Anti-Oppression Important Rules, Knowledges, and Equity-Focused Action-Dependent Frameworks. It is provided on a common basis by Mastering Central.

Place of work bullying and harassment avoidance

About Pink Shirt Working day

Pink Shirt Day started in 2007 when a group of highschool college students in Nova Scotia wore pink in response to homophobic bullying at their college.
